Ready by 21 Institute Engages Leaders from Across the Nation

On August 3-4, the Forum offered a Ready by 21 Institute in Washington, D.C. The training’s main objective was to expand participants’ understanding of the rationale and thinking behind the Ready by 21 strategies and increase the knowledge base on the research behind Ready by 21, as well as the practical and conceptual tools that help to convey it. During this training, we explored multiple ways to apply Ready by 21 to participants’ experience and work through the tools and support offered by the Ready by 21 Partnership.

This Institute was conducted with an audience of seventeen engaged stakeholders from across the country. Representatives from the Ready by 21 Partnership attended, including leaders from United Way Worldwide, America’s Promise Alliance and Corporate Voices for Working Families. Teams from Louisville, Richmond and Northern Kentucky were there as part of the Ready by 21 Southeast Challenge. Additionally, community leaders committed to improving the odds for children and youth were represented from New Orleans and Baltimore.

If you are interested in attending an Institute in the future, please contact Kiley Bednar, Program Manager, at Kiley@forumfyi.org.
