Ready by 21 Quality Counts New York Kick-Off

On April 1 and 2, Karen Finn, Senior Fellow at the Forum, joined the New York Office of Children and Family Services and the Onandaga, Rockland and Orange counties’ Youth Bureaus to kick off the Ready by 21 Quality Counts Initiative. Finn presented the Ready by 21 Challenge and the important role that leaders play in ensuring youth and families have access to quality community supports.  The events brought together a variety of stakeholders from youth bureaus, education, the United Way and other funders, youth program providers, social services, juvenile services, state, county and municipal officials and others.  Participants were charged with taking a big picture approach to planning youth services as well as improving the quality of youth services.
