Systems Building Challenges for Afterschool Initiatives: Developing Common Measures of Quality

On February 19, Nicole Yohalem joined Hillary Salmons from the Providence AfterSchool Alliance and Lucy Friedman from TASC as panelists on a webinar hosted by the Child Care Bureau, DHHS and the Finance Project, as part of the Afterschool Investments Project. Nicole discussed the relationship between outcomes and quality and described characteristics of quality improvement systems.

Forum Staff Give Webinars to Harvard Graduate Students

In February, Thaddeus Ferber and Elizabeth Gaines, Program Directors at the Forum, gave lectures at Professor Ronald Ferguson's course "Youth Development and Education Policy" at the Kennedy School of Government. Students in this course represent some of the brightest future leaders who will seek to improve outcomes for children and youth.

Congressman Yarmuth Calls for Creation of White House Office on Children and Youth
