Olivia Allen


State & Local Policy Associate

Olivia Allen is a State and Local Policy Associate at the Forum and staffs the Children’s Cabinet Network and Children’s Funding Project. In her role Olivia works to strengthen and support partnerships within and among children’s cabinets – collaborative bodies that coordinate child and youth-serving programs and policy – at both the local and state level. Additionally, she supports the work of cities, counties, and states to improve child and youth outcomes through the effective and efficient use of public dollars.

Originally from Charlottesville, Virginia, Olivia received a B.A. in Psychology from Middlebury College in Middlebury, Vermont, where she also became a Vermont-certified volunteer victim crisis counselor. She then moved to the capital region of New York to work on school- and probation-based diversion programs, youth violence prevention, juvenile justice reform, and improved child-serving systems collaboration at the National Center for Mental Health and Juvenile Justice, where she also served as a volunteer for Fostering Futures, NY.
