Jerome Threlkeld

Jerome is a Senior Program Associate for the Weikart Center.

He provides coaching and consulting services to the Weikart Center’s clientele, including Michigan’s 21st Century Community Learning Centers (CCLC). Jerome possesses more than a decade of youth development experience and comes to the Weikart Center from the United Way of Genesee County's Bridges to the Future Program, where he served as Coordinator of Special Projects & Community Partnerships for 8 years. During his tenure with the United Way, Jerome facilitated civic and community engagement workshops, collaborated with health/human services organizations to advance the common good, and provided effective technical assistance and training services to out-of-school time providers.  He looks forward to using his passion for the design and delivery of professional development opportunities, persistence in providing quality programming to youth, and commitment to engaging community stakeholders on behalf of youth to advance the Weikart Center’s work.

Jerome obtained a bachelor’s degree from Central Michigan University in 1999, where he majored in Human Resource Management. He is an elected member of the Flint School Board of Education and currently serves as Treasurer, Michigan After School Partnership and Board Member, Michigan Afterschool Association.
