Shané Gooding

Shané is the SparkAction Multimedia Editorial Associate.

Prior to joining the SparkAction team, Shané was an educator and Head of the Humanities, Arts and Media Academy at Northwood High School in Silver Spring, Maryland. She created, developed and taught curricula for film, TV production and documentary classes. Simultaneously she taught a film analysis course at Towson University for a semester. Her background is in the film and television industry working in various positions ranging from script reader to production coordinator with production companies like Miramax and DreamWorks. She has written several feature length screenplays and has directed, produced and edited short video and film projects. Shané is also an avid photographer and recently created and designed a website to showcase her work. Outside of SparkAction she continues her freelance photography projects and plans to continue mentoring young people. Shané earned a BFA in Film and Television from New York University and a MA in Mass Communications and Media Studies from Howard University.
