Lead Development Officer

Emily works with foundations, corporations, and individual donors to garner financial support for the Forum and for Ready by 21 efforts in communities across the country.

A native of Ashland, Ore., Emily has traveled widely to work in youth development and nonprofits. She received her undergraduate degree from Bryn Mawr College in Pennsylvania, and served as a program coordinator at the Maymont Foundation in Richmond, Va., for three years. She has worked as an organizational and fund development consultant to the American Democracy Institute in Washington, D.C., the Young Women's Project in Washington, D.C., the Children's Institute in Rochester, N.Y., and the Office of Youth Programs at Southern Oregon University.

After completing her master’s degree in Public Administration at the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs at Syracuse University, Emily joined the Forum in 2010.

When she’s not in the office, Emily gets physical: competing on a crew team and attending to the never-ending renovation needs of her house.
