Amanda Sutter

Amanda loves to bridge worlds, both culturally through travel and metaphorically between the research and practice worlds. She found the ideal fit at the Weikart Center, where she coordinates special projects to provide technical assistance and development for quality improvement systems throughout the country.

Prior to joining Weikart in 2010, Amanda worked in a smorgasbord of jobs with children and youth, including at a youth homeless shelter, in after-school and summer programs, and as a tutor and substitute teacher. Through this work, Amanda discovered her passion for education and the desire to improve educational quality for all young people.

Amanda received a dual master’s degree from the University of Michigan in Educational Studies and Social Work. She received her bachelor's degree from Alma College (in Michigan), where she majored in Spanish and Sociology.
