On June 30, Children's Cabinet directors and staff from the following states came together in Washington, DC: FL, ME, OH, IA, TX, NY, KS, TN, PA, OR, MD, as well as the District of Columbia. In addition, representatives and staff of the Minnesota Child and Youth Legislative Caucus were in attendance.

On March 16, the Children's Cabinet Network will have a conference call to discuss the unique things they are doing in two important areas: state to local coordination & sustainability during turnover and political uncertainty.

Participants will ascertain lessons learned based on the following set of questions:

On December 14th, the Forum for Youth Investment hosted a Virtual Roundtable of the Children's Cabinet Network.  Children's Cabinet directors and staff gained new information on funding issues and recapped their work during the previous year around data sharing and post secondary education.

America's Youth Councils Network, made up of youth councils from across the country, met in Washington, DC on October 25 & 26 to share best practices and gain national attention for youth councils.

Now more than ever, every young person needs to be ready for college, work and life. Unfortunately, too few are, even though every community and state has dozens if not hundreds of programs, plans, policies and campaigns in place created by leaders like you who are trying to make a difference.
