The Opportunity Youth Congressional Liaison Program (OYCL) is a paid, virtual fellowship for young people ages 16 to 26 who want to level up their advocacy skills and speak directly to lawmakers.
Over three months, Congressional Liaisons participate in evening trainings, complete short assignments, and connect with peers, all while learning how to hold elected officials accountable and represent the voices of Opportunity Youth in policymaking.
Time commitment: About 30 hours over three months
Location: Virtual (evening sessions, Eastern Time) with an all-expenses-paid trip for additional trainings and meetings in Washington, DC
Compensation: $2,500 for full participation, plus a $500 bonus for completing a congressional meeting
Who can apply: Current or former Opportunity Youth up to age 26—young people who have experienced disconnection from school and work. We welcome all identities and backgrounds and do not ask about immigration status.
Questions? Register for our OYCL Information Session on October 31, 2025, from 3:00-4:30 p.m. ET to hear directly from past participants and program leaders. Can’t make it live? No problem. Register anyway, and we’ll send you the recording after the session.
