Ben Washington

  • Data Associate

Ben has nearly 10 years of experience with direct services work directly impacting vulnerable populations. Much of his experience was gained working on the campus of a two-generational approach homeless shelter in Little Rock, Arkansas. Through volunteer work with their out-of-school time programming in 2012, he started his first of four AmeriCorps terms serving first as a youth S.T.E.M. educator in 2013. After graduating with his BA in Anthropology from the University of Arkansas Little Rock, he attended the Clinton School of Public Service. There he deepened his youth-advocacy work, highlighting local youth educational disparities in juvenile detention settings. He also gained a wider technical knowledge of the program/data evaluation processes that can support advocacy efforts.

Ben is in the statewide portfolio, deeply involved with the 21st Century Community Learning Center projects and Michigan Department of Education projects. His role as a data associate is to support the ongoing efforts of many Weikart programs and data analysis efforts.
