Julie Guerrero Schor

Julie Guerrero Schor is the Forum for Youth Investment’s Chief Operating Officer.

Previously, Julie served as Director of Center Operations for the Urban Institute’s Center on Labor, Human Services, and Population, with oversight of federal and philanthropic awards to support advances in child policy, child welfare, youth apprenticeship, workforce development, and financial security.

Julie has more than 15 years of experience in the public and nonprofit sectors, specializing in finance, fundraising, contracts and grants management, and strategic planning. Previously, she was Associate Director of Finance and Programs with the Aspen Institute’s Program on Philanthropy and Social Innovation, which focused on maximizing the effectiveness of the charitable sector.

Before joining the Aspen Institute, Julie held government and nonprofit positions at the City of Henderson, Nevada, and the Partnership Community Development Corporation in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, leading affordable housing, economic development, and citizen engagement initiatives.

Julie graduated from the University of Michigan with a Bachelor’s degree in Latin American and Caribbean studies. She also holds a Master’s in City and Regional Planning and a Certificate in Housing and Community Development from the University of Pennsylvania, earning the Paul Davidoff Award for outstanding work in areas of contemporary social concerns.
