Kathy works on budgeting, internal controls, policies and procedures, financial system implementation, and leading the finance team on financial reporting and analysis. She is responsible for the organization’s accounting and finance function.
Prior to joining at the Forum, Kathy was a manager in the managed accounting services practice at Marcum LLP, a national CPA and advisory firm. She worked primarily within the nonprofit sector. In addition to providing staff oversight, Kathy assisted clients with financial analysis and reporting, maintaining internal controls, managing cash flow, process improvements, and audit readiness. Her main clients included American Nurses Association, Wallace Global Fund, Advertising Research Foundation, Polaris, and Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights.
Prior to joining the practice group at Marcum, Kathy fulfilled several significant financial roles including Controller for AirBoss America, VP of Finance & Administration for Glastron, and Division Controller for EnPro Industries, an international NYSE company. Her background also includes corporate strategy, business plans, and due diligence management and review.
Kathy was board treasurer for the DC chapter of the Institute of Management Accountants and served on the advisory council of the Salvation Army. She received her MBA from East Texas Baptist University and is a Certified Management Accountant. She also holds CFM certificate and speaks fluent English, Mandarin and Cantonese. Kathy loves dance and enjoys spending time with her family.
