The Social and Emotional Learning Training of Facilitators (SELTOF) Retreat prepares participants to lead the ten SEL Youth Work Methods professional development workshops that are rooted in the SEL PQA and the Preparing Youth to Thrive guide.
Due to the nature and rigor of this professional development retreat, experience with the Youth Work Methods and/or SEL Youth Work Methods as well as training/facilitation experience is highly recommended.
The SELTOF begins with a 1.5-hour webinar two weeks before the 5-day, overnight, in-person retreat. Two 1.5-hour reflection webinars will be scheduled to take place over the two months following the in-person retreat. The schedule is outlined below:

Option 1: Double Occupancy Room – $3,000
This registration is for 4 nights in a double occupancy room at our scenic retreat center in addition to:
– SELTOF tuition
– Meals provided throughout the retreat
– Ten guidebooks
– Copy of Preparing Youth to Thrive
– Facilitator backpack with supplies for all ten workshops
Option 2: Single Occupancy Room – $4,000
This registration is for 4 nights in a single occupancy room at our scenic retreat center in addition to:
– SELTOF tuition
– Meals provided throughout the retreat
– Ten guidebooks
– Copy of Preparing Youth to Thrive
– Facilitator backpack with supplies for all ten workshops
Participants are responsible for travel to and from the training location in Traverse City, Michigan. All participants have the option of staying on Monday night at no extra charge.
