Daisy Hicks is a Senior Continuous Quality Improvement Specialist, Youth Program Quality. She comes to the Forum with extensive experience leading and supporting out-of-school time programs as well as conducting YPQI assessments within several community-based out-of-school time settings.
Prior to joining the Forum, Daisy served as the Manager of Afterschool Programs at DC Public Schools where she led out-of-school time programming for 55 Title 1 programs. Daisy also served as the Manager of the Youth Division of the United Planning Organization, where she developed new funding streams to support continuous quality improvement within the youth-serving organization. Daisy’s work as a manager, grant writer, and community organizer and years of experience has informed her expertise in youth development for underserved communities. She has led several 21st Century Learning Centers and has supported local nonprofits in the development of high-quality youth programs.
Daisy holds a BS in Child and Adolescent Growth and Deveopment from Bowie State University and certifications from Temple University in Grant Writing and Program Management. In her free time, Daisy loves to try new restaurants, travel, attend plays, and spend time with her children and granddaughter.
