Ever since 2017, I’ve traveled to D.C. for holidays, family reunions, concerts, and even graduations. My brother, my oldest sister, and her partner all attended Howard so if I get the opportunity to come to DC, I will see them.  Once I graduated high school, it became easy to drive up to the DMV. My sister had a nice apartment on the wharf and she always had passes to cool festivals and concerts. In 2025, I became an Opportunity Youth Congressional Liaison (OYCL) with the Forum for Youth Investment. That was the first time I traveled to DC for to visit Capitol Hill and have a much deeper experience.
