Meghan McCann, J.D.

For nearly a decade, Meghan has provided public policy research and support to state-level policymakers across the country. Most recently, she spent 3.5 years with Education Commission of the States working on K-12 accountability and student health and wellness, among other P-20 education policy topics. Prior to joining Education Commission of the States, she spent six years at the National Conference of State Legislatures, focusing on human services policy, and earlier, at the Colorado General Assembly as a legislative aide. Meghan believes that governmental systems, including child welfare, public assistance, workforce and education have a tremendous impact and are greatly influenced by one another.

Meghan earned her B.A. from Colorado State University and a J.D. from the University of Wyoming College of Law. She is a licensed attorney in the state of Colorado, where she lives with her 1-year-old puppy Pivo.
