Pamela serves as a Program Associate at the Forum’s Weikart Center. As a member of the Forum’s Youth Program Quality Improvement team, Pamela supports customers and field facing projects with the goal of improving youth program quality.
Pamela was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, and has dedicated herself to supporting her community over the past six years. Prior to attending college, she was involved in community organizing, where she advocated for improved access to higher education, education justice, and to make educational spaces safer and more accessible for undocumented students. While in college, she engaged in community-led research in partnership with Congress of Communities, to analyze the disproportionate impacts of growing gentrification affecting Southwest Detroit residents. She also engaged in youth development through teaching in Palo Alto and East Palo Alto where she worked closely with middle school students in after-school programs.
Prior to joining the Forum, Pamela served as the Program Coordinator at Stanford in Washington, where she coordinated educational and cultural programming for students participating in the study away program. Pamela is passionate about providing support to Youth in her community and is constantly looking for different ways of continuing to engage in youth development.
Pamela holds a B.A. in Political Science and in Comparative Studies in Race and Ethnicity from Stanford University. She enjoys spending time with family and exploring new coffee shops.
