Our Opportunity Index measures Opportunity. across four different dimensions (economy, education, health, and community) and 20 different indicators, that are vital to fostering upward mobility, at both the county and state levels.
Retelling the ‘American Dream’
America’s history of racism and Other inequities has dramatically shaped which families and individuals are able to live in communities associated with opportunity. With equitable training and first person experience, we are retelling the American Dream to include ALL Americans’ voices.
Aligning Policies with Anti-Racist Principles
Now is the time to ensure anti-racist sentiments translate into policies that reverse systemic racism. We are drafting Defining Principles of Opportunity to provide a way to assess if policies align with anti-racist frameworks and what it would take to make policies stronger and bolder.
The Forum envisions the United States as a nation where everyone – regardless of where they were born – has equal access to opportunity, economic mobility, and success at all stages of life.
